The "Wind Rose" majolica
The design is inspired by the diagram representing the origin of the winds, the original purpose of the compass rose was to indicate their position based on the four cardinal points.
Initially this symbol belonged both to sailors, then also to pirates since ancient times, being called the Star of Navigation or the eight-rayed North Star since ancient times.
The compass rose also represents the four corners or views of the world, the four seasons and the four types of human temperament.
This majolica symbolizes the strength of spirit of letting yourself be carried away guided by a force, that of the wind, capable of leading you on the right path.
Many believe that this design has different meanings such as: passion for travel, freedom, independence, will, courage and strong character.
